Damascus – A.S.A – Abdel Halim Khaddam, the former Syrian Vice President, has urged Arab Foreign Ministers to consider the critical situation in Syria during their emergency meeting scheduled for today, Saturday, at the Arab League.
Khaddam stated in a special interview with Radio Sawa yesterday that the Syrian people have made up their minds and there is no turning back from their struggle to overthrow the regime. He emphasized that any attempt to help the regime remain in power will not be accepted by the people and will be unanimously rejected. He added that the continuation of the regime in power would constitute a disaster for the country and the entire region.
