The leader of the PSP, Mr. Walid Jumblatt, accompanied by the vice-president of the party Doureid Yaghi, was received yesterday in Damascus by the Syrian Vice-President Abdel-Halim Khaddam.
MM. Jumblatt and Yaghi subsequently had a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Damascus Hussein Cheikholislam, focusing on the situation in Lebanon and the region.
In Anjar, the two PSP leaders were received by the head of the intelligence services of the Syrian forces in Lebanon, General Ghazi Kanaan.
