Yesterday, in his office in Damascus, Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam met with George Hawi, the Secretary General of the Lebanese Communist Party. Khaddam was briefed on the research and decisions made during the Mukhtara meeting, which was chaired by Minister Walid Jumblatt.

The discussions focused on the outcomes of the meeting between Khaddam and Presidents Al-Husayni and Al-Hoss.
