Yesterday, the President of the Lebanese Parliament, Mr. Nabih Berri, held discussions in Damascus with Syrian officials. He met with the Syrian President, Hafez al-Assad, as well as his Vice President, Abdel Halim Khaddam, for 3 hours and discussed with them the regional situation in Palestine and in the south, as well as the situation in Lebanon. Berri also had lunch with the Syrian Vice President, Abdel Halim Khaddam.
