Former Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam sharply criticized President Bashar al-Assad and called on him to "leave power immediately."
Khaddam, while hosting a special report, called for Assad to be brought to justice before the International Criminal Court, and said the latter "has two options: resign or be executed, as happened with former Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu.
He added: “The political solution is not between the killer of the people and the people,” calling Iran and Russia “occupying countries.”
As for American foreign policy researcher Hussein Ibsh, he stressed that the foreign presence in Syria “revolves around the regime,” referring to Iran and Russia.
