Khaddam meets two Iraqi delegations

Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam discussed today in Damascus with a delegation from the Iraqi Patriotic Party, led by its Secretary-General Mashaan Al-Jubouri, the situation in Iraq, and the necessity to protect and strengthen national unity for the purpose of reclaiming sovereignty and ending the occupation.

During another meeting, the Syrian Vice President also discussed the Iraqi situation with Jwad Al-Khalsi, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Movement in Iraq.

An official Syrian statement affirmed the alignment of views regarding the severity of what the Iraqi people are facing, emphasizing the necessity to enhance national unity and avoid marginal disputes to save Iraq.
