Yesterday, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak held a meeting with Syria’s First Vice President, Abdel Halim Khaddam, who arrived in Cairo for a one-day visit. According to sources in Cairo, Mubarak and Khaddam’s discussions primarily centered around the international situation following the terrorist attacks on the United States in September. Additionally, the bilateral relations between Egypt and Syria were a key topic of conversation.
