Minister and former deputy Mohammed Safiuddin, accompanied by his son Shawqi Safiuddin, paid a visit to Damascus where they met with Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam.
Khaddam was quoted as expressing the Syrian officials’ commitment to continuing the provision of all forms of support to Lebanon. He emphasized their determination to stand by Lebanon in the face of any potential risks that could hinder its process of construction and reconstruction, or impact its security and stability.
