Yesterday evening, the delegation of the “Islamic Meeting” returned to Beirut from Damascus, which included MPs Jamil Kabbi and Zaki Mazboudi. Kabi explained that the discussion with Syrian Vice President Mr. Abdel Halim Khaddam revolved around the events in the suburb, constitutional entitlement, and the reform working papers. He emphasized the urgent need to promptly cease the fighting between brothers and the unnecessary loss of life. He stated that the discussion covered constitutional entitlement, the latest revisions of the reform working papers, and the official’s response to them. We carefully observed instances of ambiguous expressions and positions that require clarification. Additionally, we noticed that as the dialogue progressed, our demands and rights seemed to regress.
