Yesterday afternoon, Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri paid a visit to Damascus, where he had lunch with Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam. During their meeting, they discussed the most recent local, regional, and international developments.

Later in the afternoon, Hariri returned to Beirut, and today he is scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia. There, he will hold meetings with several high-ranking Saudi officials to engage in discussions regarding the latest regional and international developments. These discussions are particularly relevant due to the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit, scheduled to take place in Beirut on the 27th of this month. Additionally, the talks will involve Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz’s initiative to address the Arab-Israeli conflict.
