Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri had lunch in Damascus yesterday, hosted by Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam. The meeting primarily revolved around the recent developments in Lebanon and the broader region.
It should be highlighted that Hariri’s visit to Damascus followed an agreement between him and President of the Republic, Emile Lahoud, to reschedule their meeting from 11 pm to 6 pm. The adjustment was necessary as the President had prior engagements outside the Presidential Palace.
