Yesterday afternoon, the leader of the Marada Brigade, Robert Franjieh, delivered a message from former President Suleiman Franjieh to Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam. The message included a report on the recent consultations conducted by the former president with various political figures and deputies, as he is still seriously considering his candidacy.

Robert Franjieh returned to Zgharta after delivering Khaddam’s response letter to his father. Accompanied by presidential candidate Antoine Al-Ashqar, Jumblatt, the political bureau member of the Progressive Socialist Party, will continue his meetings with Khaddam and Minister Nabih Berri, who remains in Damascus after his contacts and consultations.
