The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, Abdel Halim Khaddam, arrived in Baghdad on Friday(October 20), to start a four-day official visit.
After the airport reception, khaddam drove into the city and, shortly afterwards, was received by President Ahmad Hassan Al-Bakr to whom he delivered a message from Syrian President Hafez Assad.
During his stay he is holding talks on subjects of common interest to Iraq and Syria, and the future of Arab Unity.
