Yesterday afternoon, Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam received Ministers Nabih Berri and Walid Jumblatt in the presence of two former ministers, Murr Wan Hamadeh and Khaled Jumblatt. Minister Berri stated after the meeting that the discussions focused on the upcoming significant benefits and strategies to overcome the current ordeal. He emphasized that the meeting addressed the new situation in the Lebanese arena, particularly in the south, and emphasized the importance of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 425. Berri highlighted the unjust Israeli practices against the people in the south, noting our continuous efforts to implement Security Council resolutions while Israel, in turn, attempts to undermine them.

Furthermore, Khaddam also received MP Michel Sassine yesterday afternoon, who delivered a message from the head of the Free Patriots Party, Danny Shimon. Sassine declined to make any statements. Tomorrow, Sassine will return to Damascus for a meeting with Khaddam.
