Some media outlets cooperating with the Syrian intelligence services publish a set of lies about meetings between Mr. Abdul Halim Khaddam and Israeli figures.
The media office of Mr. Abdel Halim Khaddam announces the following
1- He categorically denies this news completely and in detail, and it is part of a campaign of slander to insult his national history.
2- The Syrians, especially the leadership of the Baath Party, know the positions of Mr. Abdul Halim Khaddam, which had a major role in preventing the involvement of the late President Hafez al-Assad by offering geographical, water, and security concessions to the Israelis in two stages of negotiations in “1995-1996 and 1999-2000,” during the stage in which he was working.
